This Sunday, August 23, WWE will host one of their biggest shows of the year, Summerslam. This looks like it could be a really interesting show with a few really cool matches that I’m looking forward to. So let’s talk about what we can expect on Sunday.

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville have been fighting since WrestleMania, jumping each other and just causing a whole lot of trouble for each other. A few weeks ago, Sonya even cut Mandy’s hair shorter than it was. This then brought the idea that their Summer Slam match would be a Hair vs. Hair match, meaning that the loser has their head shaved. I predict that Mandy will win and Sonya will have her head shaved.

MVP wants Apollo Crews’ United States title, so at SummerSlam, they’ll go one on one for the title. This is a match we’ve seen before, and I suspect that Apollo will retain and then battle Bobby Lashley down the line.

The Raw tag team champions, the Street Profits will be defending the titles again Angel Garza and Andrade. The latter team’s manager, Zelina Vega seemingly poisoned Montez Ford of the Street Profits, so this is a personal one. I think the Street Profits will retain.

Asuka has gotten herself in a neat situation. She will be challenging Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, and then later challenging Sasha Banks for the Raw Women’s championship. Asuka has the opportunity to win both titles in one night. I predict that Asuka will beat Bayley, but then lose to Sasha.

At Extreme Rules, Rey Mysterio lost an Eye for an Eye match against Seth, meaning that Rey’s eye was extracted from his face. It’s weird. But now, Rey’s son, Dominick wants revenge and will make his in-ring debut in a street fight against Seth Rollins. This is the match I’m looking forward to the most. Rey said that he’ll be in Dominick’s corner to support him, and with no rules, he’s sure to get involved. I am confident that Dominick will win.

Braun Strowman has been feuding with Bray Wyatt for a few months now, but things really changed last month at the Swamp Fight match between these two men, when Bray started playing mind games involving Alexa Bliss. This time around, it will be the Fiends that battles Braun for the Universal Championship. I am pretty sure that the Fiend will get the title he never should have lost back.

Drew McIntyre has been defending his WWE championship strongly since WrestleMania, but now, he’s got to fight the vicious Randy Orton. Orotn has been attacking innocent legends like Edge, Christian, Ric Flair, and Shawn Michaels for months and now he has his eyes set on Drew and the WWE Championship. I’ve really enjoyed the work that Drew McIntyre has been doing as the champion, but I think Randy is going to win this one.

Now let’s talk about Retribution and Raw Underground. Retribution is a new stable that’s been running around, creating chaos on Raw and SmackDown. Nothing’s been announced, but we should expect their presence to be shown at the show. Also, Shane McMahon has been hosting an MMA-style portion of the shows every Monday, and I won’t be surprised if we see some of the Underground at SummerSlam.

This will be an interesting show with fans projected on the screen of the arena and a lot of neat matches. I’m looking forward to Dominick’s wrestling debut. SummerSlam should be a really good show.
