Each fantasy season there is one player on your roster whose back must be killing him. He picked up 21 points for you from Weeks one to three, he put up a 38 spot in Week 7, he was the waiver wire pickup of the year. You all know that guy and we all have had him from year to year. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, it’s only suitable that we release our Fantasy Football Most Thankful For list. Maybe as you go around the table this year and you think about all the things you are feeling thankful for and how lucky you are, you include that Week 4 trade you made for Dalvin Cook.
This Thanksgiving we are Thankful For…..
James Robinson – RB – Jacksonville Jaguars
I always love when a player that virtually no one has ever heard of is one of the best fantasy players of the season. This doesn’t happen every year but when it does, it’s special. James Robinson is one of the truly great waiver wire pickups that has ever been had. Robinson went undrafted in over 90 percent of leagues platform wide but has somehow turned into the 4th best running back in fantasy football. This whole season he has had just three games in single digits, one coming in week one with shared touches and another against the Steelers top ranked run defense. The undrafted rookie is on pace to break 1000 yards and has truly been the steal of the Fantasy Football season.
Kyler Murray – QB- Arizona Cardinals
You can just call him QB 1. That refers to his position ranking this season at the quarterback position. Murray entered the season as a fringe Top 5 QB but has even exceeded those expectations. He is last year’s version of Lamar Jackson and has been consistent as ever in fantasy this year. There is not a single game where Murray has scored less than 20 points and on three occasions he has gone for over 30. He has 29 total touchdowns and over 3200 all-purpose yards.
Jason Sanders – K – Miami Dolphins
You didn’t expect to see this name, did you? Fantasy Football kickers are the most underrated players on a roster. You depend on their points more than you realize and sometimes a kicker can clutch you a win. Sanders has been with Miami since 2018 but this has been his best year. He has been 22 of 23 with a percentage over 95 percent. He’s been in the double digits six times this year and has even had a 22 point outing where he connected on five field goals.
Chase Claypool – WR – Pittsburgh Steelers
Here is another name of a guy that was slept on in the draft, unheard of when the season began, and then became the hottest waiver wire add. Claypool exploded in Week 5 with his four-touchdown performance has turned into the 18th best WR in the game. He now averages over 11 fantasy points per game and it’s unthinkable to leave him out of your starting lineup.
