The NBA season is just a week away after the old NBA Season ended just two months ago, what can be better than? We saw breakout performances last season from some of the up and coming stars of the NBA and that should continue into this new season. There are some exciting rookies that we haven’t had a chance to see since last March when the NCAA tournament was called off and some NBA stars haven’t suited up for a real game since that time frame as well.
Each year it seems like a new “young superstar” is budding and hopefully there are more of those this year. With them, come attributes that excite and dazzle us and make us happy to be watching basketball.
NBA Most Exciting Players to Watch in 2020-21.
Luka Doncic – Dallas Mavericks
Did anyone take the storm as effectively as Luka last year? How can we forget his shot heard around the world in the NBA bubble? How can we forget about his constant antics and fun that he has on the bench? Luka is becoming the face of the NBA before we know it and just this week an Eastern conference executive said this about Luka winning an MVP, “But I’ll tell you what: That motherf—er in Dallas is coming. … That dude is going to win multiple MVPs.” I could go on and on and on about Luka’s stats but I’ll save that for someone else. The fun thing about Luka is what he brings to the court and the style in which he plays and he is must watch television.
Devin Booker – Phoenix Suns
It isn’t like Devin Booker is new to this list and it isn’t like he is some budding star. Book is a legitimate superstar in this league already and after years of suffering from a terrible supporting cast, he finally has another star in his midst with the addition of Chris Paul. Booker averaged 26 points last season and shot nearly 50 percent from the floor. He’s a guy who can drop 80 and a dude who drops 60 on a somewhat regular basis. Now that he has some help on the floor at all times and a guy like Deandre Ayton who deserves his own respect in regards to his progress, Booker will be gunning for an MVP this season and it’s going to be fun to watch.
LaMelo Ball – Charlotte Hornets
Yup, I went there. I am incredibly excited to watch LaMelo Ball suit it up and play. Lonzo has been decent in the NBA but there seems to be a whole new hype train around his little brother. Ball has already impressed in a few pre-season games so far and he has been playing professionally for a few years now. He was averaging over 16 points, six assists and seven rebounds in the NBL Australian League and is no stranger to the occasional poster dunk that gets circulating on social media.
