The College Football Playoff and then Bowl selection had more drama than a high school prom but after a ton of debate and a lot of consideration, the CFP and the New Year’s Six have been announced. There was late drama in the whole process as Notre Dame took a shackling against Clemson in the ACC Championship Game that enraged many college football fans. Yet, despite the hatred spreading through social media, ND is still in the dance. Here is the full list of CFP games and New Year’s Six Bowl Games.

College Football Bowl Games

All of these games will be played between December 30 through January 2.

Rose Bowl Game: #4 Notre Dame vs #1 Alabama (CFP Semi)

This one could be a legitimate murder on national television even though it is supposedly featuring the number four team in the country. There are a lot of folks that would rather see Texas A&M in this spot, I am included in that grouping. Notre Dame loves to get rocked in the big games and it feels like this will be no different. After the pairing was announced, Alabama opened as a large double-digit favorite. Alabama is a far more dominant team and the game seems like a massive mismatch.

Allstate Sugar Bowl: #3 Ohio State vs #2 Clemson (CFP Semi)

This game should be a good one. Ohio State didn’t sparkle in the Big 10 Championship Game and there are a lot of critics chirping over the fact that just six games were played this season for the Buckeyes. The Tigers looked unstoppable in the ACC Championship game and we were all reminded why Trevor Lawrence was the Heisman favorite before the season began. This should be a shootout and a showdown between the future first and second overall picks. This should be the better of the two CFP games.

Goodyear Cotton Bowl: #6 Oklahoma vs #7 Florida

Do you like points? If so, then you will love this game. Florida went to the wire with Alabama and played one hell of an SEC Championship Game. This should be a fun matchup between Spencer Rattler and Kyle Trask and two offenses that can score at ease. The OU defense is better which could be a difference maker.

Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl: #8 Cincinnati vs #9 Georgia

We all wanted to see Cincinnati make it far and now the Bearcats are getting the challenge of a legitimate top-10 team in Georgia. This should be another game that sees a lot of points and a lot of action as Desmond Ridder and Cincy can run it up quick. Georgia has stumbled a bunch this season but won’t want to lose by a Group of 5 team.

Playstation Fiesta Bowl: #25 Oregon vs #10 Iowa State

It is kind of a shame that a Pac-12 team gets into a New Year’s Six game but that’s the way the affiliations work and the reason the NCAA is a bit corrupt. Oregon has not played that great in just six games yet here they are taking on an Iowa team that has the ability to crush them. You have to look forward to this game for the blowout. The Cyclones are a fun team to watch and this should be a mismatch.

Capital One Orange Bowl: #5 Texas A&M vs #13 North Carolina

This is not the fate that poor Texas A&M imagined for themselves. The Aggies are taking on a UNC team with a really bad loss on the schedule and not all that impressive of a season. The Aggies were a win away from playing in the CFP but at least a fun trip to South Beach is in their sights.
